Pada tahun kedelapan pernikahannya, mereka sudah memiliki 2 anak, dan menempati rumah baru yang lebih luas. Hingga suatu ketika, Adit tiba-tiba terkena terjatuh di parkiran mobil kantornya. Ketika diantar ke Rumah Sakit, nyawanya tidak tertolong lagi. Beruntung istri Adit masih bekerja. Namun, dengan beralihnya sumber pendapatan menjadi satu\u00a0<em>income<\/em>\u00a0dan jumlah penghasilan istrinya yang tidak sebesar penghasilan Adit,\u00a0 maka perlahan tabungan yang selama ini dikumpulkan tergerus habis. Tidak hanya itu, mereka pun kini harus menjual rumahnya dan pindah ke rumah yang lebih kecil.
